Our kitchen had badly needed a remodel since we bought the house 8 years ago but we kept putting it off - one of the reasons was that you are always hearing horror stories about how stressful doing a remodel can be - had we known what a great experience it would be working with Windhill Builders - we would not have waited so long. From the design phase through project completion working with Shawn, Kevin, and their team has been an absolute pleasure. We met with Shawn early on in the project and discussed what we were hoping for, budget, timeline, and feasibility of what we wanted to do. Right away, it was obvious that we had made the right choice, my wife and I don't know a lot about how a home works/put together and Shawn was extremely patient with all of our questions and gave honest answers "Yes, that's common and easy to do", "No, that isn't possible", "Yes, you could do that but $$$$$". We soon began meeting with one of their designers, Andrea, who really took the time to understand our design aesthetic, brought extensive knowledge of current trends/best practices, and patiently went through multiple iterations to make sure we got the design right. The construction phase went smoothly(for the most part) any project has bumps in the road but they were communicated clearly and we were given the options to resolve and what their recommendation. Windhill's onsite project manager, Kevin, really made it easy for us to relax and demonstrated very early on that he had our best interests as his #1 priority. Great communication around what subcontractors would be there/when and what we could expect. The subcontractors did great work and Windhill clearly has established a great relationship with a stable of extremely high quality subs. We stayed on schedule on budget. I can't tell you how many times my wife and I would discuss some concern and resolve it with "Well, we will mention it to Kevin and he'll take care of it" and that would be exactly what happened. We redid the entire kitchen, new cabinets, counters, appliances, floors, refinished all the hardwood in the house and painted everything. We are thrilled with the end result and recommend Windhill Builders without reservation. 5 stars and we will be doing business with them again on another project.

We worked with Windhill over the course of two years to build our dream house in Annisquam. Shawn and Kevin were professional, responsive and responsible. We vividly recall our first meeting with Shawn Cayer from Windhill Builders, when we discussed our building project. Friendly, professional, organized, and fully informed with the knowledge of a building expert, Shawn straightforwardly and thoroughly answered each and every one of our questions. After that initial discussion, we knew that Windhill Builders would be the right choice to bring our architect's vision and plans (Cummings Architects) into the reality of our new dream home. We cannot adequately express our appreciation for Kevin O'Connor, the Windhill construction manager who shepherded our building project from start to finish. Kevin was simply fabulous to work with. Always extremely reliable, communicative, and organized, Kevin truly made the building process so much easier for us. There were often daily texts, phone calls, and meetings, each helping us to move the project along. He inspired confidence and we always felt things were in good hands. But along the way, we also got to know Kevin on a more personal level and that made our interactions even better. Kevin always helped us keep things in perspective, and we also enjoyed his fabulous sense of humor. It is not uncommon to hear about issues with sub-contractors, but our experience with ALL of the Windhill Builder subs was terrific. We were extremely pleased with the high quality work they performed -- from those who excavated and poured the foundation, to those who framed the house, insulated, painted, implemented the electrical plan, created the custom built-ins and cabinetry, installed the flooring, AV systems and alarms --- they were all pleasant, professional, friendly and terrific at their jobs. Windhill also provided wonderful inside administrative support. Billing and accounting was always clearly spelled out and specified. Any questions we had were always promptly answered, and we knew that Jessica was there ready to help with anything we needed. She always communicated the same high level of enthusiasm for the project and she played a crucial role in the success of the project. When we saw her in person, there was always a welcoming smile to greet us and a hand extended to help. Our beautiful new home is everything we hoped for, reflecting the inspiration of Mat Cummings and his team at Cummings Architects and the "make it happen" team of talented, professional team of builders at Windhill Builders.

We don't have enough good things to say about Windhill! We hired them for a significant renovation on our home which took 8 months and included an addition, all new kitchen, bathrooms, laundry room, new plumbing, heating, electrical, windows, etc..... It was a big project and these folks were amazing to work with every step of the way. They are very knowledgeable, do great work and are all around very good people. While we have never done a project of this scale, we have renovated other homes, and this is by far the best experience we have ever had with a construction project. We couldn't be happier with the finished product and we are so grateful to Windhill for all of the amazing work that has made our home so wonderful.

We hired Windhill Builders to do an addition/ kitchen remodel. The project was pretty involved and included a new addition/ foundation , kitchen, mudroom, powder room, and new laundry. Windhill built a kitchen and master suite addition for our home during the winter of 2015-2016.
